Tuition Assistance Program

The Tuition Assistance Program (TAP), which was developed by the STM Alumni Committee and members of the Parish, is designed to provide tuition assistance to families whose children attend St. Thomas More School. There is $50,000 available in tuition assistance for the 2008-2009 school year. The program is funded by parents, alumni and teachers who volunteer to work events at the Qwest Center Omaha; and by private donations.

Qwest Center Events

Groups of parents, alumni and teachers raise money for the Tuition Assistance Program by volunteering to work to events at the Qwest Center Omaha. 100 percent of all donations are placed in a non-endowment account specifically for tuition assistance. All money raised for a given year is distributed the following school year to to families who have children in k-8, qualify for TAP or who have worked events.

Volunteers who work Qwest Center events can have their time credited toward Parent Participation hours; can receive a cash credit toward their 2009-2010 tuition; or can donate their time and the money they would have received to families who have applied for TAP. Tuition credit is limited to 10 events per family.

Below is a list of upcoming Qwest Center events, start times and volunteers needed. To volunteer, email Kim Lucas.
